Ambassador Buchan and Admiral Martinez Núñez, thanked all the members of the Armed Forces of both nations for the work done during these thirty years, with special reference to those who have been part of the Permanent Hispano-American Committee, whose work has been essential to achieve that this Convention has reached such a meritorious maturity.
The ceremony ended with a reception in which Admiral General Teodoro Lopez Calderon, Chief of Staff of the Navy, addressed a few words to those present in which he recalled the US and Spanish military who have served in joint missions and in a very special way to those who gave their lives in the course of these missions.
